Start New in the New Year
2012 has already started, but it’s not too late to choose a Reading Plan. (Actually, it’s never too late.) It’s only been three days. No matter which plan you choose, you can easily catch up. But you have more options, you know: Choose shorter plans from 5 days, 7 days, 14 days, 90 days—and more. Or just start a one-year plan and complete it in January 2013. All that matters is that you make it a priority to spend some time each day in God’s Word.
If it seems like we talk about Reading Plans a lot, that’s because they’ve proven to be one of the best ways to help people consistently engage with God’s Word. A Reading Plan from YouVersion helps you connect with the Bible every day by breaking each day’s reading into manageable chunks. Delve deep into a specific topic. Meditate on what a given passage means in your life. Find practical advice for your teen. Explore parts of the Bible that we should all be familiar with. Or read the entire Bible. How you choose to read is up to you.

Don’t Forget: Reminders
On many of the Bible App’s platforms, including iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Android, you can tell your Reading Plan to pop up a notice to remind you to read each day. When is the best time of day for you to read? Morning? Lunch time? Before bed? Just go to your plan’s Settings, turn on Reminders, and set it for when you want to be reminded.

Did You Know?

If you get behind on a Reading Plan—everybody does sometimes—it’s really easy to reset it. Simply go to your plan’s Settings and look for the Catch Me Up button. When you select Catch Me Up, the Bible App resets your reading for today to the last day of reading you completed. For more specific instructions, visit our Technical Support website, select your preferred language at the bottom, choose your device type at the right, and then look under “Plans.”

Have You Found The Other 16?
Recently, we shared an interesting statistic with you: One in every 17 Apple iOS (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch) and Android devices has installed the Bible App. As great as that sounds, it means that 16 of 17 haven’t. You can help change that! Visit The Other 16 for details.
